When did it become necessary for people to survive by sharing every moment of their given day? As an individual do you really need that much attention? I just don't find the usefulness of having to share a 10 second blurb about what is going on in my life right now.
Still, let’s try this out for a moment. Ready? Here we go.
6:30 pm Still in class.
6:31 pm Are we still talking about this?
6:33 pm He must not know finding my pen is my number one priority? Where is it?
6:35 pm Maybe I should jump in on this conversation. I'll say something witty.
6:40pm I’m so smart. ^_^
7:00pm I'm home and I have mail, yay!
7:02pm I am not sending these people anymore money. I helped raise your funds.
7:05 pm What the hell is that smell?
7:15 pm So, I'm supposed to breathe in this hellish scent 'cause she can't cook?
End scene.
See what I mean it's ridiculous. I know there is someone out there arguing that I live a boring life. Well honestly, I do. So let's consider the "famous" people who constantly update their tweets. Most of them are reporting similar, boring, everyday activities. I mean, of course Diddy might mention a party he's having. But honestly, with that announcement are you now going to that party? What about Shaq sending out tweets from court side, LiLo announcing that Sam had broke her heart, and LiL John wishing these little girls would stop calling his new cell number that had formerly been of Miley Cyrus. Hmmm, were any of those things really worth while? Did learning them serious alter the course of your day? Huh, huh, huh? “I dunno”, maybe I am missing something.
One thing I do know is that I will not make the jump to Twitter. I'll remain with my current "social networking" site and update my status maybe once a month. I'll make sure that when I do it will be something amazing so that you may cherish it until I grace you with some more fabulous grad student news. Besides, it is too many damn weirdos in the world for me to be telling them exactly what I'm doing at any given moment. Do not get it confused, I plan on coming home every night ... unless I decide to be MIA.
For your enjoyment I have attached a video. Oh, and it's not just any video it's a perfect Case In Point video. Feel free to watch it.
